Iron Mountain Park
Situated in the north of Atlanta is Georgia’s largest national off-road park. ATV riders can enjoy Iron Mountain Park in Dahlonega as it occupies over 4,000 acres for visitors to explore. In a Facebook review, one commenter said that Iron Mountain Park is an “outdoor playground.”
Once visitors finish riding the ATVs, they can grab a snack at The Grille at Mountain Park Resort or stay in their campgrounds.
But Georgia wouldn’t be an ATV rider’s haven if it didn’t have several options.
Fat Daddy’s ATV Park
From sandy hills to mud pits, Fat Daddy’s ATV Park is a 500-acre trail for adventurers to explore. Furthermore, this Waycross gem also provides primitive camping grounds with recently renovated bathrooms.
However, if 500 acres isn’t enough to traverse, perhaps a much larger off-road park is better.
Durhamtown Off-Road Park
Daredevils love Durhamtown Off-Road Park due to the various vehicles that are suited to be driven there. Located in Union Point, the 100-mile-long off-road park is the go-to spot for jeep, dirt bike, and ATV drivers.
Durhamtown Off-Road Park has nine tracks. Such as a pee wee, supercross, MX, dirt drag strip, etc.(via ATVEscape.com and Dirtbikeevent.com).
But to those vacationing on a tight schedule – yet want to meet fellow ATV enthusiasts – perhaps Moccasin Creek Off-Road Park should be penciled in.
Moccasin Creek Off-Road Park
When ATV riders visit Georgia, many make sure to stop by Moccasin Creek Off-Road Park primarily because of its deep-water crossings – thanks to the park being situated on the riverfront.
Moreover, others go to Moccasin Creek Off-Road Park because of the events held there. This month, October Riding Weekends will take place, where kids under 11 get free admissions. But adults need not pay a hefty fee when experiencing the ultimate Blackshear weekend getaway.
Admission fees for adults (for a Friday to Sunday pass) only cost $60.
But if Moccasin Creek Off-Road Park seems too busy, what about visiting a smaller ATV trail?
5313 Off-Road Park
Nestled in Calhoun is a relatively smaller – yet equally exciting – ATV trail perfect for small groups of friends or families who want a fun getaway: 5313 Off-Road Park. This 112-acre park has rocks, mud trails, and hill climbs for mom, dad, and the kids to enjoy.
